jo belanger is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist at the World Health Organization’s GIS Centre for Health, where she supports initiatives to improve the use of and access to geospatial data, tools and GIS skills for WHO and Member States. Outside of work they also serve on the board of Associación Bioma, an organisation that manages Hort d’Icària, a community garden in Poble Nou, Barcelona.
